Life’s Unsolvables
Most of the people who come to see me have run into one of their unsolvables. Something they can’t fix or change or overcome. I find it a great privilege to listen and love. On my best days I try to ask good questions and share some of the hope and courage that I have found.

Spiritual Spring Cleaning
I often want the instantaneous results of a fully formed faith without the practices of cultivating and waiting. I want the fruit of the spirit without any of the preparation to helps things grow. Imagine for a few minutes what spiritual spring clean up might look like for you.

Don’t just do something. Stand there!
God is inviting us to slow down and rest in him. Our greatest impediment to vibrant faith might not be an area of sin with which we have always struggled, but instead constant motion. We simply don’t grow closer to Jesus without repentance, resting, and returning to Him.

What’s in a name?
What I needed most was God’s sustaining presence. I slowed down. I sat in silence. I began to talk with God like a friend who I knew would love me and listen to me.

Embracing the Darkness
My calling as a Spiritual Director is to companion with people who find themselves in dark places. My hope is that the places of darkness in your life will be opportunities for God to get your attention and see your world in a new way.
