Spiritual Direction Agreement
You are meeting with me online or in person because you want to examine and develop your life with God. Spiritual direction centers on your relationship with God, with the goal of awakening and strengthening that relationship. The purpose is to help you discern God’s presence in the midst of life’s challenges and ultimately grow greater faith, hope, and love.
Our Relationship
Although I believe it is appropriate at times to discuss psychological and relational difficulties in the context of spiritual direction, I am not a psychotherapist, nor do I provide such services. As a member of Christ Centered Spiritual Directors (ESDA) I have agreed to their Code of Ethics. I have been certified through Sustainable Faith and I also carry personal liability insurance.
Confidentiality
I will hold our conversations in strict confidence, regarding our time together as sacred. I will not reveal the content of our conversations unless I am required to do so by law or court order. On the other hand, you are free to share whatever you choose about our conversations with anyone.
Fees
I charge $100 per session. For clients who commit to 5 or more sessions I provide a 20% discount. Please don’t hesitate to discuss financial concerns with me directly or to ask for a scholarship application.
